29/82: December 12th vs. ANA

Final Score: Leafs 3, Ducks 2

Max Pacioretty finished Thursday night with two goals and an assist, contributing to every goal for the Leafs in what ended up being a narrow victory over the rebuilding Anaheim Ducks.

The Ducks recently picked up Jacob Trouba in a trade with the New York Rangers. Pairing him with Radko Gudas… That’s intimidating, to say the absolute least.

Anthony Stolarz left after the first period, having drawn consecutive starts. He appeared to tweak something in his right leg on a routine-looking save. They say he’ll be back quick so hopefully it’s nothing serious.

Joseph Woll came in and looked great, getting the win in relief.

Question for the Ducks: Their road record (6-5-3) begs for more but the Ducks have struggled more at home (5-9-1). What steps can their young forwards take to generate more offense? The Ducks are currently 32nd in goals for (71) and near the bottom of the NHL in goal differential (-19, tied with Boston).
