Final Score: Sceptres 3, Victoire 4 (OT)

Laura Stacey’s second goal of the season was the overtime winner for Montreal Saturday in Toronto.

A 2-0 Sceptres lead after 20 minutes was sliced to a 3-2 lead after 40, as Izzy Daniel’s second of the season broke a 2-2 tie. Lina Ljungblom’s first of the season tied the game in the third.

Raygan Kirk finished with 35 saves on 39 shots but was beaten 15 seconds into the extra frame. Toronto managed to eek out a point after three straight regulation losses.

Question for the Victoire: Elaine Chuli currently leads the league in goals against average, tied with Minnesota’s Maddie Rooney at 2.00. Can they ride their defense to a better playoff reult than last season?
